Those are simple inexpensive fitness ideas that you and your kids can enjoy together. Kids thrive when they have structure; therefore make a calendar of when you want family fun time. Also while you are making the calendar set a specific amount of time to watch T.V. Your kids will most likely resist but once you have a good routine and they know your not budging, life will get easier. Just a reminder you’re the adult, you set the rules & you do the punishing. Stick to your family fun activities so that you can teach your children how to have a healthy lifestyle and live a long full life!

Top 10 Do's & Dont's of the Gym!

1-DON'T be on your phone the whole time you're working out! We get it sometimes you get an important phone call but you can make it short! There is no way you can get a good cardio/endurance workout if you are gabbing on the phone. Plus, your annoying the crap out of everyone around you!

2- DO grab some friends and try a new group fitness class! It can be fun and if your screwing up, your friends will be there to laugh with you not at you!( Unless I am your friend then I'm for sure laughing at your uncoordinated booty!)

3&4- DO workout hard! DON'T be so obnoxious with your grunts! I am not going to lie I will grunt from time to time but I am able to for the most part control them! Which means so can you, So grit your teeth and shut your mouth ! No need to be so noisy!!

5-DO wear something that makes you feel good.  That could be coordinating your outfit by wearing matching shoes and a tank top or your favorite sports team t-shirt. Its important to be comfortable in your workout attire because if your not you probably will not spend very much time at the gym.

6- DON'T claim a piece of equipment by leaving your stuff on it and be gone forEVER! So annoying, getting a drink of water is acceptable while chatting up a hottie for 30 minutes is NOT acceptable!

6-DO try yoga! Its a great workout and amazing for your mind!

7-DON'T spend forever flexing and checking yourself out in the mirror! There is a big difference in being proud of your hard work and being obsessed with your reflection!!

8-DO grab your favorite tunes to rock out to while your getting your sweat on!! Its proven that people who listen to music while exercising have longer and more productive workouts!!

9&10 DO Work-up a good sweat!! DON'T Leave a disgusting pool of sweat behind for someone else to gag over while cleaning up your mess!!

NO TIME FOR FITNESS!?!?

I hear way too many times "I have no time to workout". That is completely BOGUS!!! So your telling me you have time to watch your trashy reality T.V. shows, go out to eat, see a movie and complain about how much weight you have gained but no time to work out!? I know we have heard that our entire life but you have got to prioritize.

Here are some awesome ways you can work out from home!
1- Buy Fitness Videos that you can do at home. I know a lot of people are embarrassed to go to the gym because they either don't know how to work the equipment or do not exactly have a game plan, and it is normal to have those feelings. A lot of videos now are done completely with body weight training so you will not need to buy any equipment, just have that amazing  body of yours and a smile ready to work!( OK so you might also need a good pair of kicks and some water!)

2- Now if you can’t find a video that you like check out the Internet. There are videos all over, they might not be complete but hey it’s better then nothing! Here is a website that I personally love http://www.bodyrock.tv/ . It is a little advanced but you can modify the moves so that any fitness level can do these workouts. Also http://www.youtube.com/ can be a great place to browse through work outs. Just type in what you’re looking for; like yoga, Pilate's, interval training, body weight training and BAM tons of workouts should pop up!

3- Go outside for a jog, a run or a walk! Now, weather permitting, you should be able to get outside and let your shoes hit the asphalt. When doing this, keep track of time and how far you have ran. That way each day you can try and go further or longer.

Since you now have some fabulous ideas I want you to make a calendar and Set dates and times for your workouts. Put a reminder on your cell phone or a sticky note on the TV. so you have a visual reminder. Ask a friend to start doing the same from their home so you guys can hold each other accountable. We are all competitive so making a goal with a friend on loosing weight or inches; it is a great way to drive both of you. Who doesn't like to win? Try to wake up an hour earlier or stay up an hour later so you can get your work out done. A good place to start if you’re completely inactive is to work out twice a week. Now run along young grass hopper and get your booty moving!!

Welcome To Firm Fitness Trainer

I decided to create this blog because there are so many websites and blogs that aren't giving real honest advice! I am here to help you with any of your fitness questions, through any means necessary! I want to create a blog where people can ask questions and get real answers. I'm not trying to sell you anything either, shocking! I know everyone has heard that getting fit takes a strong mind and hard work. Which is very true but hey, who says you can’t try innovative ideas and have some fun along the way. You can thank me later!!

To tell you about myself, I am a personal trainer not a health expert by any means. I do encounter all sorts of issues and figure out the best solution to over come those issues. For example, helping a 5 foot thirty year old male who likes to smoke, drink & has way to much sodium in his diet figure out how he can get a 6 pack! I'm not one to judge I have a whole gang of issues of my own to deal handle up on. I have No Filter, like telling someone you just met "Has anyone ever told you that your dog is ugly?” Yes, that really happened and the shocker of that situation was no one had told him that his dog is in fact ugly!! I'm so glad I was there to let him know because he let me know they were thinking about breeding the mutt!!! I should get a thank you from our local community for preventing ugly dog breeding!  OK... OK... I got way off track. (F.Y.I. I am A.D.H.D)

The whole point of this Blog is to Give honest Tips, Advice, Debunk a few diet crazes, make fun of stuff (my favorite thing to do) and keep you motivated! Just remember I'm honest to a fault and will poke fun from time to time, so don't get your feelings hurt if I come across to Harsh!
